Cape Bojeador Lighthouse.

Hi guys! Sorry for the long absence. I guess some of you read my last post, I've been sick for almost 2 weeks. After that, been busy at work that I really had no time to post anything for March. I even missed my blog project, awww.

Anyway, back to my Ilocos trip na di matapo tapos -- If I'll be asked if where's the best place I've been to in Ilocos Region. I would probably answer Cape Bojeador Lighhouse. Paoay Church was just second in place.

Anu kaya yung maliwanag na pink? hmmm

I dunno but I always have this fascination of having my own lighthouse. I just love the fact that lighthouse were often built on cliff or somewhere high. Nakaka good vibes sakin ang ganun. Makes me smile like a crazy dude.

Good thing that Cape Bojeador Lighthouse was being maintained unlike other lighthouses na napapabayaan na. Bad thing though, entry to the very main lighthouse tower was not allowed. Sayang. April fools? lols

Until next time paleng Bojeador. April fools? ahahaha. Nope, bibisitahin kita at baka mag stay ako ng matagal tagal.

Ciao.

Babad Sa Araw.. And I Hate It. #SummerSpecial

LOLjoke.

So since summer na, naalala ko na nag-Ilocos kami 2,562 years ago, kelangan namin mag-trekking, umakyat at magpaka-adventurous maka ligo lang.. may CR naman! Well, ayoko kasi talaga nagpapa init kasi di ako kaputian tas iririsk ko pa.

First Stop: Kabigan Falls.
The Kabigan was from Tagalog word "Kaibigan" kasi daw friends yung ilog at talon. Akalain mo yun! Ahahahahaha. Inalis pa yung letter "I". So ayown, pinabayaan kami ng tour guide namin at may iba kaming tour guide papuntang Kabigan falls. Trekking was about 45 minutes - 1 year depende sa katamaran maglakad ng kasama mo, sarap pagsisipain.

Initial pathways has no trees to cover my vulnerable skin LOLs talaga. So you guys better bring umbrella and bottled water as well. Buti nalang maganda scenery kundi baka nagwala ako.

Ganda ng puno, you can take a rest here. Wooden bamboo seats were provided.

When we got there.. uhmm we arrived? haha. Andameng tao. Kahit maaga? Since wala akong plans maligo technically naupo at nagpicture picture lang ako. It was a brief stay so I think swimming was something I wouldn't indulge myself. Ayoko basang naglalakad pabalik. Arte.

Second Stop: Blue Lagoon.
It was inviting from afar. The colors were vibrant and the summer-ish heat makes me ecstatic!

After setting ourselves, kelangan mo maghanap ng food syempre. There were local stores that you can buy fresh fish and meat from and asked them to cook it. I dunno though how much as I care less pag-libre lols. Bad! Then you can start swimming while waiting for the food. There were lots of activity you can take like banana ride, zipline, ATV, surfing and more that I am really not interested about. Kelangan magpainit eh. A----yoko.

FOOD was the best part. Nagmumura yung isda sa sarap kasi napakasariwa galing New Zealand LOLs jk.
Third Stop: Bantay Abot Cave.
After nila magsawa sa beach, we proceed sa Bantay Abot Cave na akalain mo sa tabi ng dagat nakalocate. Yung walang exposure sa init at all! Ahahah. What a coincidence!

You need to go down at I'm telling you guys, since malapit siya sa dagat, ang dulas dulas ng batuhang daan. Falling down was not an option may it be face or butt first.. neither way. Wag kang tanga dito.

So that's it pansit muna! Sana naman nainitan kayo sa post ko. It was a hateful day pero it was still worth my very precious golden time with diamond dust. LOLs. I hate going to the beach, aminado ako, pero I really wanna go this time. Ang init init kasi. Namiss ko tuloy yung Golden Coast beaches sa California nung dun pa kami nakatira.. LOLsjk.,

Ciao beaches.

Beat The Heat! Bangui Windmills!

Owww., the weather here in the Philippines is just great. LOLs.

I'm working from 8PM to 5AM, normally maghapon talaga tulog ko kaso bitin siya lately kasi nagigising ako sa init. Tsk!

So let me share you my short visit at Bangui Windmills! It was our second stop before going home. Wala.

Mas ideal pumunta sa lugar early morn or hapon, best time to take photos at syempre di mainit.

A Travel Back In Time ~ Calle Crisologo.

Wala akong magagawa kasi lahat ng pictures maganda para sa akin kaya  I wanna share it to you guys.

Calle Crisologo was one of our last stop over before heading home. If you're from Ilocos Norte homebound to Mania kasi, you'll passed by Ilocos Sur where Calle Crisologo was located.

Excited ako na makapunta sa lugar. I dunno how many times I've said this before here sa blog. Medyo may connection ako sa past. In this modern and advanced technological world, I prefer to be simple and take life like the olden days. Of course mahilig ako sa gadget, pero every time I see an old stuff or on a old place, nalulungkot ako na natutuwa na para bang I've done or been here before. Arte.

I should tell you the place screams HOT all over. The taste was one of a kind. I though di sya masarap kasi kahit yung fruit itself di ko gusto tignan. Hehehe.

As for the place naman, wala talaga akong masabi sa ganda. Perfect for an afternoon or early morning stroll, for photo shoot, and for buying souvenirs. Kaso di ako makatagal sa init. Just make sure though you have a solo shot at the middle of Calle Crisologo. Hehehe.

Memories and pictures were enough for me. We also had our lunch somewhere along the road.

Sikat yan dun. I forgot the name. Tas may iba't ibang flavor pa yung corn snack.

Ciao.

Paraiso.

Nagmukha na siyang All Year round trip.

It was digitally enhanced kaso yung iba sinukuan ko after few trials as it was really hopeless.

Paraiso ni Anton.
Wag green. Hindi ito lupain ng mga Adonis. Just along the highway, Paraiso ni Anton is considered a holy place in Ilocos Norte. People come here for its miraculous waters coming from the spring. I actually had few bottles of the said water and it's kinda refreshing. Masarap. Like the same water we have from our home in Albay, galing din kasi samin sa bukal.

Lakas maka horror film eh.

Cast ng horror film. hehe.
Pasalubong stalls just across the street.
Patapat Bridge.
Malapit lang to sa Paraiso ni Anton. The original road was actually just above Patapat bridge, on the side of the mountains. Pero mas convenient ata ang Patapat bridge as it's wide so less accident. Also, pwede ka na din makapick up ng Taiwanese radio dito kaso wala ka din maiintindihan so wala ding epek. Lels.

Kelangan holding hands guys habang nagpapapicture?
BOOM PAWIS!
Empanada.
Ilocano empanada, filled with egg and meat, taste delicious but it has too much oil as it was freshly cooked and served. Not for health conscious people. That's why they served it in paper wrapper to absorb excess oil. One serving of empanada was enough to fill one's tummy.

Pagudpud.
We stayed in a resort close to the beach in Pagudpud and I tell you guys, sunset was one of it's best asset aside from its beaches. I never liked beach anyway but the sunset was hard to ignore.

Bangui mills seen from the resort.

Life Celebrations!

Exhausted and sleepless from a 13 hour bus ride from Manila, I went straight to where my family was, aboard of a jeepney, waiting for me from the Legazpi City terminal. They were like waiting for me for almost two hours due to the delay caused by the ongoing road reconstruction. Di masaya I swear.

May 18 was the very day we lost Dad four years ago so it's really something I wouldn't want to missed as it only happens once a year. So kahit patayan ang pila ng mga papauwing pasahero last Saturday, nag tiis ako mag antay makauwi lang. My plan of supposedly morning trip unfortunately became night trip. 12 hours apart and yes I was waiting in Cubao.

We immediately took off and went to our destination ~ Tiwi, Albay. Which was about like an hour trip. Tiwi is where Teacher Kat of Saturday Thoughts came from.

A friend of mine drove me around Tiwi and he's none other than Ang Tabachoy ng Tiwi! Tres! hahaha. Mind you Tres if you read this.. I AM NOT FAT. lels. We kinda have some time as we missed the Sunday mass. So after we had our prayers and personal intentions, Tres roamed me around and got me back to my family after 30 minutes. Parang kinidnap lang eh?

Di naman ako baguhan sa simbahan ng Tiwi Church or Church of San Lorenzo as I've been here quite a few times since my childhood days until highschool years. Church has this simple yet beautiful facade with just enough room for people inside.

This path leads to the back part of the Church where you can touch the image of Jesus Christ as shown on the altar inside. Usually gets fully packed but luckily I was only with my self when I gave it a try just this morning.

Syempre uso ang holy items like being sold around the grounds. LOLs. Arte mag narrate!

Malilibang ka din kasi like as I've said, on the grounds aside from the holy items being sold, may mga kaluluwa ding itinitinda nakapaloob sa mga paso. lols. Syempre joke. Eto yung pinaka excited ako, mamili ng paso o alkansya! hehehe.

Then after we had our lunch, sa loob ng jeepney na napaka hassle!, pumunta kami ng DJC Halo Halo. Very well known for its Halo Halo.

As for the place, I don't like it. It was as if tables and chairs were just randomly placed inside. Seems like a house turned into a karinderya. Basta it was not visually appealing! No offense meant.

Happy me. Minsan lang kami lumabas ng magkakasama.

They actually have more than what to offer aside from their halo halo pero since we had our lunch already, we didn't mind anyway. As you can see, DJC halo halo looks so plain ordinary in looks pero what it lacks in appearance, they makes up for it on the taste. The leche flan melts in your mouth as it was really soft and it's not that sweet.  There was less ingredients at the bottom making it less complicated for me. It was not that sweet in general unlike when I had it first from their other branch, you can ask for sugar if you like. Only thing was, ice was melting already when it was served. Nagjoke pa yung pamangkin ko:

"Ang ingredients neto ay! WATER, ice, leche flan..." Hahahahaahha.

Other people may wonder why we actually celebrate like this on our Dad's death anniversary.. well alangan mag kulong kami sa kwarto at magsi iyakan! Well, Filipinos are naturally happy people. Our family celebrates death anniversary like birthdays with bihon, spaghetti, and the like on the table.

Ciao. Miss you Papa!

Summer Love! Paguriran Island!

I made up my mind, kahit di ako beach person, I said to myself that I'll go to the beach this May. So ayown since andito ako now sa Albay, I decided to go on an outing with two friends last Tuesday.

It was planned ahead of time kahit sa Manila pa ako. Tuesday morning, nagkita kami sa Daraga and took a van ride off to Sorsogon City. Pagdating dun sa downtown, take another jeepney ride to Brgy. Paguriran. You can ask locals for direction, very friendly people.

Sa mismong resort ka mismo ibababa ng jeepney driver kaya worry no more kung first time mo. Pagdating dun just ask for the owner of the cottages. Price were very negotiable baby. Like the closed cottage, Php 1500 daw yun but we got it for only Php600 for like sixteen hours which was supposed to be 12 hours only! It comes with one bedroom with restroom and electricity.

Before we started taking pictures and wandering around, prepare muna syempre ng foods. Nag-BBQ kami and since we're like maarte, instead na paypayan ang baga.. chadaaan! Make use of what you have around. Nakaka-overwhelmed na katamaran LOLs.

The best thing about this beach is the Paguriran Island, isa siyang isla na lumilitaw lamang pag kabilugan ang buwan. And you will be like lalanguy ng wala sa sarili papunta sa isla. Lols.

Medyo low tide nung dumating kami so medyo low spirits din ako haha! But the good thing about that is you can walk to the island. While on our way to the island, nakakita kami ng plastic na starfish. Mga sirena talaga! Sa Makati nga bawal na plastic eh.

Just a piece of advise though, mag suot kayo ng makapal at disenteng footwear. The island itself is like a huge coral! Unlimited rocks! At sobrang tulis mind you.

Favorite selfie shot.

In the middle of the island is what they called Lagoon.

Bata: Yey Donut!

My favorite shot!

Gusto ko man magpa-araw, a---yoko na!!

Nung andun pala kami sa Lagoon, I asked my friends to climb up the rocks so we can see the Pacific Ocean. Just ouch.

Until now pilay ako huhu. Kasalanan to ng mga sirena at dahil jan pinulutanan namin yung unicorn! Yeah you heard me! PULUTAN! haha.

Akalain mo yun, I was browsing through my picture files for my Ilocos trip kasi mag-uupdate ako ng blog, I just realized then na ubos na pala pictures or in short tapos na ang pagkahaba haba kong post about The Chronicles of My Ilocos trip last year! haha!

Final na final na final na stop over namin before heading home was the Bantay Church and Bell Tower. LOLs.

MANDATORY to guys! hahaha.
With my awesome travel buddies.
I obediently follow to save my life. LOLs!

Ayan Ateng Tour Guide, happy? As if the shots makes me so powerful eh.. di din.

-.- haha.
My friend Tin did the same thing after me, di niya alam I was taking her pictures as well pero on a different angle. Hahaha.

Jean Grey? Telekinetic? Haha. Yes, I'm bad!
Hahaha, isa pa! I'm very bad.
Habang kinukuha yung shot niya, napasigaw ako sa kanya ng "MUKHA KANG TANGA KUNG ALAM MO LANG!" not realizing may simbahan sa likod -.- Nagtinginan sila father. Ow.

And this post end my Ilocos trip!

Ciao!

My Most Wanted Five 2014 - Updated.

$

I dunno how I started to love seeing places and the pure bliss that I felt every time I travel. Siguro dahil na din sa lumaki ako ng di man lang umaalis sa Bicol, but hey been to manila pero bata pa ako.

I started loving it more when I got to College where I really started travelling for real. Been to Tagaytay, Cebu, and Bohol. And eventually got to see more after College. I know magastos at nakakapagod kaso when your time comes at tumanda ka na, you'll regret it. Where you live is only a small portion of what the world has to offer.

I remember when I was writing this post back in 2012, I listed my Top 5 Dream Destinations. Since 2014 na, nag iba na taste ko. It's either I gave up my dream or I've been there already. Back then my Top 5 want to see places were Bohol, Ilocos Sur, Bataan, Batanes, and Central Luzon. Been to Bohol and Ilocos Sur already so here's my updated list and this time it'll be more specific rather than just the province name itself:

5. Anawangin Cove, Zambales.(Pasingit na ng Mt. Pinatubo since malapit na din sa Zambales)

CREDITS. Biyaherong Barat.
Oh don't you just the love the view. Yes, people told me masyado ng commercialized yung place but I don't give a damn. Nakakahiya naman sa Boracay no? lols. It would be a complete disconnection from the busy life of Metro. Yung camping mode ka lang with bonfire and the sky is pitched black painted with millions of diamonds. Tas may killing freak admirer na nanunood sa bawat galaw namin from the hills. lols.

CREDITS. Excursionista.
Pinatubo. Wala pa nga lang akong matinong shoes at bag. Di ko maimagine aakyat ako ng pinatubo tas naka Converse or Nike ako. No way! hahaha.

4. Bagac, Bataan.

CREDITS. Miguel Ambrosio.
Las Casas Filipinas is synonymous to time travel. Look how beautiful the second picture is. Para siyang European city sa gabi! Kaso me kamahalan lang ang overnight stay. Well, kung ganun kadami talagang bumbilya ang naka-on malamang malaki din singil ng Electric Cooperative diyan. lols.

3. Calaguas Islands, Camarines Norte.

CREDITS. Angelica's Travel.
Boom Nganga! Now that's my kind of beach! Clean, attractive, and less known to people. Kumbaga virgin pa talaga. Though business is starting to open and people are gradually coming here for it's non-commercialized beauty.

Haist. Frustrated na talaga ako. I told myself na kung pupunta man ako dito I'll make sure I'll stay for a week .Eenjoyin ko talaga ang klima at matutulog ako ng mahabang mahaba. Tsk!

1. Batanes, Cagayan Valley.

CREDITS. Dork the Explorer.

O sya, frustrated kayo guys? haha. Anyway, sooner or later makakapunta din ako diyan. All expense paid. LOLs.

Ciao! Uuwi ako ng Bicol! See you Albay in June 15!

Art App at Pinto Art Museum.

Career move haha. Anyway, so last Sunday my blogger friend BJ invited me to visit Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo.

Getting there was not a problem kasi may tour guide ako, si BJ nga.

That big! It's a place where local artist houses their masterpiece from paintings, sculptures, and everything nice. Registration fee is Php 150.00 at may kasama pang mapa.

Yey! Tigidig tigidig. Bata?

Actually madaming building sa loob, iba ibang art form bawat isa. Kahit sa garden ay mga naka display. Ang nice lang. Tas andami pang puno, halaman, may mga upuan, cafe, at may kama pa sa mismong hardin. Nakakarelax. Tinago ko na lang yung mapa, just enjoy the place and be random.

Pag pumunta dito, make sure walang next na lakad. Kelangan mo kasi namnamin bawat oras at appreciate ang nasa paligid mo. Take a lot of pictures kumbaga, isa pa yun. Na lowbat camera ko. Di kasi pinapatay nung isa. Tsk! haha. Jke. Dami kasi pwedeng pictureran at pwede ka talagang mag-emote bawat kanto if you like.

Biggest mural na nakita ko, Karnabal - painted by several artist. Nakakapagod nung ginawa namin yan eh.. LOLS.

Favorite shot.

One of my favorite place was the Forest by Antoni Leaño, it was a dark room na ay napakadaming kawayan. It was like a dark forest. Haha.

Disappointed. #Facepalm
Paulit ulit hinampas sa canvass.
Talikod lage.
BJ wants to go back, kahit ako naman. Lowbat na kasi nga yung cam so madami kami di nakuha. Like yung isang art piece, di namin nakuha hahaha! As this next picture says,

Panalo talaga. Nag-enjoy ako. Salamat din BJ.

Ciao!

Ewan ko ba, am I not worth your time? Alam ko magtatampo ka nanaman pagnabasa mo to. Pero I think you won't even bother going to my page.

But yeah, umalis pa din ako.

Interior wise, it was simple. Gusto ko na nga paalisin ng ako lang mag isa at may time ako mag Emo with tears running down my cheek. lols.

After ka pag-lutuan and all efforts made, iiwan mo lang ako sila sa ere? Wag ganun.

Yung food, lulutuin pa nila Ateng bantay-slash-cook. Eh since iniwan mo ko at mag-isa lang ako no time pressure. Binuhus ko oras ko sa Instagram. Buti pa dun andaming Likers.

Food was then served. The meatball pasta though, masarap yung meatball but not the sauce. It was tangy even with pepper chili seeds.

Me kulang lang.. me kulang lang.

Ang tamad ko ba lately? Hihi.

Lately one post a month lang yata ako ha, (hindi yata, it's a fact) eto humahabol lang for the month of Septemeber. O sya sya, eto na.

Kababalik ko lang Manila from my week-long vacation sa Albay. Just checkin' on Mt. Mayon, nag iinarte nanaman eh.

Well I was expecting na may mga bandiritas, mga nagsasayaw na naka baro't saya, may banda of course.. hmmm, anu pa ba? LOLs. In my dreams.

After my indianan date last August (referring about this), narealized ko masarap din pala kumain at lumabas mag isa. I mean no hassle right? No need to hurry up to the location or thinking about how will you get them all together with busy schedules.

LOLs.

Sympre di pwedeng di ako kakain sa Small Talk Cafe, paborito ko Pasta Laing nila eh. Same pa din, love their food and place.

Oo, may sinadya din akong resto by the name of Alibar, wala gusto ko lang kumain ng cake.. tatlong slice.. hmmm for me, myself, and I. Naumay yata ako sa dami haha. LOLs.

Syempre ayoko naman lage akong mag isa so pinilit ko makipag kita sa long time no see kung friend na akala mo naman nag abroad, nasa Albay lang po sya. haha. Sadyang busy lang masyado. Di ko nga mawari na three years na kami di nagkikita. Hayyys. She was one of my best buddy in College, yung same level yung kabaliwan namin kaya nag-jive kami. hehe.

New fave dish. Anghang lang eh, nananadyak eh.

As always, masarap na Sili Ice cream.
Syempre before I went back, we celebrated my cute little baby niece Keona her 2nd birthday last September 28! Nagpaextend talaga ako ng leave for this. LOLs

Excuse me? Meron din ako chocolate jan.
Echapwera yung may birthday, busy sa gilid hihi.
Funny, she said "hot, hot!"
Simple celebration but yung memory ang pinaka importante jan. The fact na magkakasam kami, yun ang pinaka special sa celebrations mapa-birthday man yan o kasal. Love you baby Keona.

Ciao.

Happy Third!

Uhmm knock knock?

Toxic kasi minsan, andameng epal. Ayoko ng masyadong nega. May iilan kasi post ng post about love quotes o yung mga bitter na lageng may post na Next time I'll be wiser in love. Watdahel? I know, kahit naman ako nagkakagusto at nasasaktan pero I'd rather keep the feelings to myself or tell the story to my friends. Better kasi yung mga nag-aadvice e mga taong kilala ako. Kaya lately pa-like like lang ako pictures, nagmamasid, at naga-unlimited scroll lang. Less interaction, less mistake, less landi -- lols.

Actually, mas more on Instagram ako. Mas gusto ko kasi yung format -- malinis at simple. Less din yung nakakakilala sakin at less interaction. Ganern.

A lot of people don't like the idea of posting pictures a lot. I don't see it that way, for me Instagram serves as my social diary (arte sa diary?).

If you've been to my Instagram account (*nasa gilid siya ng blog ko mind you), I usually have dates on my post para maalala ko ano yung significant na nangyare nang araw na yun like dates, celebrations, shoppings or outings. I don't post a lot of selfies but more on foods, things, places, at syempre ang paborito kong foot shot (I mean it).

Pero same with Facebook, may mga bitter din sa Instagram. C'mon! See, nega nanaman. Deym.

Syangaps pala, dinelete ko na sana tong blog kaso a few days after I switched it back. I realized there's more to write about my life. Three years ka na blog and ang hirap mo lang i-let go as you get older. Kung pwede lang i-daan ko na lang sa kantang Let It Go e kaso wala namang snow sa Pinas. Tsk!

The good thing about having a blog is you can look back at the happenings from the past in an instant.. and yeah, all because may blog ako.

Ciao.

Fun soul in Pansol.

Laguna. Ulet.

Sa Pansol kami. Ulet. Hot spring. Ulet. Pool. Ulet. Major Ughh!

So Pansol na nga! Shet

Pangalawang team building ko na to sa team and guess what?? Sa Pansol din yung una namin! Haha.

I'm with my two besties Irish and Tina.

An saya saya. lols.
Tina, Irish, at ako.

Chip, Fellici and Boss Waks doing the groceries. With Ateng mataray sa background.

WALA! Wala kaming lunch Ate Charo! Nag-skip kami! huhu.

Kunyare busy kayo Irish? Tin???
Napaka - #Instagrammable ng table cloth.
In fairview, gusto ko yung lugar.

After dinner, natulog ulit kami. Ang kakapal ng mukha! haha. Lakas maka senyorito't senyorita. Imagine that! Wala kaming ginawa! Shet.

After four hours ginising na kami kasi tulog o matutulog na yung nag -iinuman. Uhmmm? Anong konek? Haha. Kami naman daw. Ano to shifting? Tanod?

Ehhhhh.

Tas nagsidatingan mga lokong to! Nag underwater shoot kami gamit Sony Xperia ni Glen. Galing galing! Me gusto silang ipaglaban sa mga shot nila like Animal Rights? Or Clean Air Act? Nyahaha.

Ahhh wala yan. Tinetesting lang namin yung cam. Medyo di pa ako nyan prepared eh. LOLs.

Di na kami natulog kasi 6AM ang call time. Nakakapagod. Dalawang pakete yun na tig-isang kilo. Medyo na sprain yung right hand ko. LOLs. #FragileMuch

Umalis agad kami kasi mainitin ulo nung bantay. Loko niyo! Di na kami uulit sa inyo! Di ko kayo iinstagram!

Ciao.

Afternoon Affair: Tagaytay Edition.

Kahapon, me and my former workmates decided to go out of town. At syempre pa pinaka ideal ang Tagaytay kasi malamig. Kaso late isa naming friend so medyo tinanghali na kami.

While on our way, andun kami naupo sa may pinaka likod para tabi-tabi kami cause we believe that friendship transcends all barriers. Ansabe? Haha. Ayus naman yung byahe. Masaya talaga sa feeling pag you are with your true friends, tawanan at kwentuhan lang anything under the sun. Kaso me kasabayan kaming pasahero, for the duration of the WHOLE trip, they were playing only 2 tagalog songs. Paulet-ulit Ate Charo. Huhu. Paulit-ulit. Nakaka-LSS.. buti may earphone ako. Binato ko sila nun. Jke.

Susugal ka ba sa P50 for an extra rice? Aba isang kilo na yun ha! Mahal dun kasi overlooking ang Taal. Kaya since we're after food not the view, pumunta kami sa Mahogany Market.

So yun ang clue guys ha? Baka ibang saging ang hanapin niyo. Lels.

Based naman sa observation ko yung kinainan lang namin may saging sa table so safe to assume na tama yung napuntahan namin. Pero the thing is FIFTEEN lang ang extra cup of rice. Medyo nabingi pa ako kay Ateng Serbidora nung sinabi nyan FIFTI--een. Mahina lang yung teen part. Lols.

After kainan, derecho kami sa People's Park in the Sky. I know overrated na masyado ang place pero eto yata ang highest point ng Tagaytay kaya ang lamig lamig lang dito.

But I always wonder why the local government seems not taking care of the place. Way back 2008 medyo kumpleto pa yung sign na PEOPLE"S PARK IN THE SKY. Pero ngayun halos wala na letrang natira. The place is known to tourist so siguro wala naman masama kung aalagaan yung lugar. Not just for tourism purposes but also for safety purposes.

May mas malapit na sana sa People's Park kaso we need to be close to Mushroom Burger so dun kami sa isang branch na overlooking din ang Taal.

The place was not air-conditioned I believe. More seats up stairs at dun talaga magandang magkape kasi open air at kitang kita ang Taal. LOLS.

Last stop was Mushroom Burger, my second time in here. I would say na mas naapreciate ko siya now. Di kasi gusto ni taste buddy ko lasa nung naorder ko last time. The regular burger I would say is my fave so far.

Imagine how the place is always crowded at madaming naka-car lage kumakain jan. Naka-gown at tuxedo pa yung kasabay namin sa line! Watda? Anyway di naman matagal umorder so kaya yan!

Ciao. Merry Christmas!

Alone For A Day Part One: Good Taste and Burnham Park.

Haha. Joke bhe. :3

Well mahaba-haba din inantay ko para matuloy ang Baguio get away since January namin napag-usapan pumunta ng officemates ko. So it was a three day and two nights in Baguio then.

I'm officially traveling alone! Pers taym ko at I read a good feedback about the place.

I ordered myself Good Taste Fried Rice, brewed coffee, cheese muffin, at strawberry cupcake. I was overwhelmed of how big the serving was. And the strawberry cupcake was really good. Oopps, dapat smile tayo kasi it makes the world go round. Ansabe? Haha.

After breakfast, dumiretso ako sa Burnham Park. It was nice walking around the park at early morn'.

Ano ba makikita dun? Kinapagod ko pa yung kasasagwan. Haters gonna hate lang masyado. Haha. Tulakan na lang sa lake? Kaso mag-isa lang ako so ayown! Palakad lakad lang ako. Mag-isa.. pero masaya. LOLs talaga! Shet.

Then I proceed to the church to say my prayers kasi naka-travel nanaman ako at ligtas na nakarating ng Baguio. It feels good to travel alone and it feels so good to be alive Lord.

Ciao. Mwah!

Alone For A Day: Laperal White House.

After breakfast from Good Taste and morning walk at Burnham Park, I went to my next stop -- Laperal White House.

I've been to most tourist places in Baguio but there are still few attractions that I never been to. My friend/officemates are still couple of hours away from arriving. I decided na pumunta sa Laperal White House which was said to be haunted.

Things to know about Laperal:

It was owned by one of the oldest clan in Baguio - Laperal clan malamang. It was headed by Don Roberto and Doña Victorina Laperal.

During the war, Japanese took the house by force and used it as a garrison. It was believed that people were killed and tortured here. Also women were raped.

Soon enough, the ownership of the house was transferred after the owner's death. In 2007, Lucio Tan bought the place and  restored the house and made it into a gallery of bamboo artworks.

Credits to Doon Po Sa Amin for the infos.

When I got there, wala masyado tao dahil siguro Huwebes nun. Just great! Haha. I remember seeing the house back in December 2013 with few of my blogger friends. (Here)

Back then we were just from Glen 50's Diner for dinner that we decided to roam around Teacher's Camp for some ghost hunting activity assisted by our Baguio based blogger friend -- Asiong. And that's when I saw Laperal White House when we passed by, with its white walls amidst the cold and dark January night.

Sa ngalan ng selfie! Wag magpapatakot! LOLs.

There's really nothing scary about the ground floor as people were making noises, lights flooding every corners of the place, at kung me magpakita man; anlapit lang ng main door. Haha.

After taking few selfie shots, I realized umalis na ang mga bata. Shet sila! Pero anyway, me dumating naman na mag-syota. Dalawa lang sila kasi mag-syota nga diba? Me mag-syota na lima?? Kaso ambilis nila mag-ikot. Inunahan pa ako umakyat sa second floor. Me appointment sila! Haha.

May mga nagmamasid.

Umakyat na din ako. Wala lang. I actually don't know what to expect at the second floor. Alangan Kids Apparel section o Toy section yun?? Haha.

As far as my memory serves me right, may apat na kwarto sa taas. Dalawang nakabukas.

I think I took enough pictures already so ayown nagmadali na akong bumaba. Lols.

It was too much for a solo travel. It was a good experience and thankfully wala naman nag-paramdam. The next day pala we went back here with my officemates but I was just outside. Singkwenta pesos ulit?? Oo magdadamot na ako this time! haha.

Before kami umalis, I asked Glen, my officemate, to take my picture at the window outside. We just realized a few minutes after we left, we were scanning through his phone's gallery, that there's something wrong at my  picture.

Ciao.

Yanni's Home Made Goodies.

You know what real home made goodies means?

One of my good old friend is into business right now. Yani, invited me to try her home made cookies. So we met yesterday at Kapitolyo, Pasig to get my goodies and write up a review of how it tastegood it taste! Oops! Haha! I'll be real honest here (which I always has been) with my review kahit di ako expert. Constructive criticism cause yeah she's my friend and it will give her more ways on how to improve the said cookies.

Here's on the list:
NUTTY CHOCOLATE CHIP Cookie.
This one was a surprise! To be honest it looks pretty plain like someone would sell in a fund raising activity at school. Pero hindi eh, there was this sweet after taste that I really liked. Sabi nga ng friend ko, "Ansarap. Andaming nangyayare sa bibig ko. Lakas maka-Quacker oatmeal cookies"Ansabe? Haha. Pero I know what he meant 'cause yun din nangyayare sa bawat kagat ko. It's soft with the right amount of sweetness.

SPICED CHOCOLATE FUDGE Cookie.
I asked Yani before we met kung ano meron sa cookie na to? What does she meant by spiced exactly. First thing that hits my mind was it was spicy. Though she never said anything and just asked me to wait and try it. I did! Ako pa masunurin ako eh. Haha. And I was right! Ahaha. Ang galeng! At first I though wala naman kakaiba but the spicy after taste was kickin' after you swallowed it. May sili ba to?Pepper? Chili powder? Damn. Haha. Honestly, aside from the spice and the small hint of chocolate on it, I think there should still be more on it to make it more exciting. Nevertheless it was good!

CHOCOLATE CHIP Cookie.
This was also good with the right amount of sweetness into it. This is what I loved about all these cookies. Di matamis at di matigas! Di ka matatakot na mag-crumble siya after you bit it. This is as good as Chips Ahoy according to my friend. Best consumed with a cup of coffee!

RED VELVET Cookie with CREAM CHEESE.
This is my favorite!! Ughh. Hinahanap-hanap ko siya ngayon habang isinusulat to. Kumbaga crowd's favorite para sakin. It was soft, right in taste, and the cream cheese made it more special! Even my friend liked it. Nauuso talaga ang red velvet na yan ngayon and never though I would liked red velvet cookies instead of its cake version.

All in all, I can't believe all of these were made by my friend. It was like bought straight out of store. Imagine how much would it cost kung sa commecialized store mo binili. Get the same quality without shedding too much money! That's what real home made goodies means. Highly recommended guys!

Never though that a hole in a wall resto exist just close to where I stay before in Boni Ave. Hearing a good feedback about the food and the price from my Bebe was enough for us to set up a date at Minandal last Monday.

Medyo nakatago ang lugar so better take a trike from Boni MRT and tell them to drop you off at Minandal, sa harap ng Iglesia ni Kristo. Well, that would be the fastest way if you're not familiar with the place kesa ikawala niyo pa. Hehe.

Just to let you know guys, they open at 6:00 pm until 12:00 am. Baka agahan niyo mag-mukha kayong mga tanga doon. LOLs.

Gutom na si Ate.
Medyo may kaliitan ang lugar which was not a problem for me. Bhe said the place is always full of plants? Lols, Syempre full of people. Hungry people. Most were students kasi malapit lang to sa RTU. Ayan me clue ulit! Sana mahanap niyo na.

We had two Quarter Pounder Burger with fries 70Php and a plate of Creamy Carbonara 75Php. Very affordable and it was very satisfying. Plus, masarap since it was served warm. The Creamy Carbonara was not too dry and di rin umaapaw sa sauce. Just the right amount of everything with soft garlic bread on the side.

The Quarter Pounder was worth the wait. Nakakabusog. I liked the cheese on top and the fries on the sides. Plus I loved their condiments -- big bottles of tomato kaetchup, mayo, and mustard sauce. Yun di maaarte sa date at hanap ay sulit sa pera, I really recommend Minandal to everyone compared to commercialized Burger store in the malls. Better give this a try!

The Thinking Cup.

Working for two years and eight months with my previous company was quite an achievement. It was my first call center job and I think it's safe to say, with all the stress and demands from our clients, I did well. It's just that, di na ako masaya. Yung feeling na I'm dragging myself to work, lageng nakakatulog sa upuan, at madalas malate.

"Tao po! KAmi po pinadala ng agency!" LOLs.
I told myself that I'll take a months vacation after leaving the company and I did, part of it was to go home. So since nasa Albay ako these past few weeks, best way to enjoy it was to try new gastronomic offerings and trust me guys, Albay never fails me in regards about that.

LOLs.
I've been seeing pictures of The Thinking Cup Cafe on my Facebook prior to my trip home. Kainis lang kasi wala masyado pictures. Not even a single shot of its facade or its exteriors. Only few shots but it doesn't say much. Di ko malaman anong pinaglalaban nila LOLs. But I even heard it from my Lil Sis so I decided it might be worth a visit after all.

From The Thinking Cup FB page. Senator nga pumunta ako pa kaya? LOLs.
I was with my High School best friend Myra when we visited the place one hot afternoon. Wala pa yata kaming matinong lunch tas ganun pa kainit panahon. At kung di ka mapagmasid, you might missed it as the place are not those sort of cafes or restos that has this modern-ish ambiance. But trust me, it was a lovely sight when I first laid my eyes onto it. Ansabe? LOLs.

FIRST VISIT.

LOLs. Maganda ang treatment nila sa customers. They would asked if it was your first time and they'll patiently give you a background of where their food originates. With those simple gestures, it makes you feel comfortable about the place.

By the looks of it, bahay naman talaga siya, turned into a cozy cafe. Just to let you know walang wifi sa cafe, kaya its either you read books or you have a data on your phone. It was the owners idea na walang wifi, mabuti nga eh, mas madaming time to catch up with friends habang nakaupo sa sahig.

The food was affordable and generous in serving. I personally liked the cassava chips with mayo on top. I just wished that the sandwich was prepared in a clubhouse sort of style. (I raised the concern to the management on my second visit.) Coffee were served on mason jars, angkyut! LOLs. Masaya sana kung may whipped cream.

We stayed there for about three hours kakaantay sa isa naming friend. Pakshet LOLs. Umalis na kami at nakakahiya na. Haha!

SECOND VISIT.

I was with Marjun on my second visit, he's a friend from Pateros. He was on vacation with me. I can't help myself of not bringing him here. He actually liked the place same as I did. Sa sobrang pagkagusto niya sa lugar, nag-photo-shoot kame LOLs. Okay lang naman since it was his first time here sa Albay. Make the first one memorable kumbaga.

Kunware may hinahanap. LOLs.
We had chicken sandwich this time. Fillings, if I'm not mistaken, has curry on it. Kakaiba but I'm not sure if I liked it. Pero syempre winner pa din yung cassava chips at ohshet!, their iced coffee was the best coffee I had there so far. Milky goodness and drama nung kape LOLs.

Iced coffee yung nasa itaas.

Glazed mini donut. Angkyut! LOLs.
Walang patawad! Sigehh!
What was nice pala sa second visit ko, yung staff sa counter sumigaw talaga siya ng, "Welcome back!". Awwww naalala niya ako. Made me cry LOLs, di naman pero nakakatuwa lang. Simple gestures again. At isa pa pala, they even gave us a sample of their soon-to-be-on-the-menu donut. How should I say this.. hmmm, ansarap. Plamis. Malambot at di masyadong matamis ang glaze. It was like a donut from Krispy Kreme and even Marjun agreed to what I said.

I'm back here in Manila, I hope more dish will be offered once Marjun and I get back in Albay in September. Also, I hope that the restroom will be much better. God bless sa staff at sa owner!

Ciao!

Yaman! So he arrived like 8:30 in the morning after a 12 hour bus ride. After ko siyang sunduin with banners and drum and lyre peeps, dumiretso agad kami sa apartment ni Tita Emma for his accomodation. Yaman ni Tita! LOLs.

Since 12 hours ang byahe from Manila to Albay, sumusobra pa yan depende sa mood ni Manong Bus Drayber, syempre alam ko pagod ang bisita ko kaya I decided na wag na muna mag-ikot ikot sa Albay.. nag-decide na lang ako mag-hiking. LOLs? Sasagarin ko pagod niya. Ginusto niya tong Albay escapade diba?? haha.

Matinding kapitan to beaches.
Agad kaming umalis sa apartment pagkatapos naming mag-freshen up at sumakay ng jeep papuntang Camalig, Albay. Travel times takes about a year-- joke!

#NapakareliableNiMau #MamamatayKaDinFriend #LOLs

So after naming makipag-negotiate kay Kuyang Habal-habal (Lakas maka-gang ng nickname haha) sakay agad kami kahit kay laki at bigat naming dalawa. Go kung go kahit walang apakan na matino sa motor ni Kuya because naniniwala ako na #IamHereToPromoteAlbay Kuya Xian. Lols.

The habal-habal trip went just perfectly fine.

Recently lang nadevelop ang Quitinday Hills which actually being dubbed as the Chocolate Hills of Albay. Medyo kunti palang nakakaalam at wala pa (as far as I've searched it) nagba-blog tungkol dito.

Off we go instead! Akyat lang ng akyat kahit matarik! Go lang ng go kahit di appropriate suot namin sa susu-ungin namin. #AngInitLord

LOLs. Di naman! Pag dating mo sa taas, sa gitnang hills ka muna aahon tas you can either go to the left hill or the right one, tumalon ka na din kung wala kang mapili haha. Masaya naman kasi walang tao and I mean it, kami lang sa taas.

LOLs! Damay damay na! But on a serious note, safety must come in first pa din. Pero I hope Quitinday hills won't be change that much, let's maintain the place as it is but implement safety precautions for our dear hikers.

Bukas palad niyang tinangap ang liwanag lols.
Sarap mag-muni muni.

Benefit of the DAW.

After we got to the second hill, bumaba na kami kasi may mga tao na. Pakers. Served you right beaches! LOLs.

I guess that would be for the maintenance of the place.

Ciao.

I made 12 Bucketlist with my partner. We're planning to do all of these until May of next year para naman may sapat na panahon. Medyo struggle dito ang time at funds pero no pressure. So eto na guys,

1. Visit 30 Starbucks Coffee Branches.

Nada! Makiki-inum kami ng tubig with ice! Pili ko to based sa exteriors at interiors kahit medyo me kalayuan ang iba. Here are some:

Evia Daang Hari branch-- Las Pinas City, Twin Lakes branch -- Tagaytay City, Matalino St., Teachers Village branch -- Quezon City, Ayala Alabang Village branch -- Muntinlupa City, 6750 Ayala Avenue branch -- Makati City, San Antonio branch -- Makati City, One Rockwell branch -- Makati City, St. Charbel branch -- Quezon City, Lucky China Town branch -- Manila City, 32nd & 7th branch -- Taguig City, Robinsons Magnolia branch -- Quezon City, Capitol Commons branch -- Pasig City, Tiendesitas branch -- Pasig City, The Grove Rockwell branch -- Makati City, Eastwood 1880 branch -- Quezon City, Aguinaldo Highway branch -- Tagaytay City, Tagaytay-Calamba Road branch -- Tagaytay City, Intramuros branch -- Manila City, Cottage 661 branch -- Baguio City, Hacienda Luisita branch -- Tarlac City

2. Roadtrip To Sagada.

Badtrip!

Credit to When In Manila para sa magagandang larawan ng Sagada. Ansabe?

3. Watch 50 Movies.

We're planning to divide the 50 into two parts - 35 movie downloads while the remaining 15 we'll watch it from the theater house. Ansabe? LOLs.

4. 15 Churches.

Any church will do basta simbahan. We'll take pictures in front para naman may katunayan. Pero syempre naman magdadasal kami to make our visit worthwhile.

5. Enchanted Kingdom.

#kiddoproblem

Credits to Enchanted Kingdom Facebook Page.

6. Disney On Ice.

Bakit ba? #kiddoproblem

7. Hiking/Camping.

It's either camping or mountain climbing, whichever comes first. O kung pwede pag-sabayin why not!

Credits to Angelo Explorer and Lakwatsera De Primera.

8. Exotic Food.

Diosko.. nakakapang hina I swear. LOLs.

9. Picnic.

Diba ang kewl ng idea ng picnic. Kumakain ng chicken sandwich habang umiinom ng cold lemon juice? Check! Nakaupo sa damuhan habang nag-uusap? Check! Lumalanghap ng sariwang hangin habang nag-iinstagram nagkukulitan? Check na check! Exciting!

10. Pet or plants.

May ipa-pangalan na nga kame e, mine will be Ham-ham tas sa kanya ay Melon. Hongkyut! Balak din namin mag-alaga ng halaman kase more plants means more oxygen. Haha!

11. Concert/ Gig.

LOLs.

12. Cinema One.

I fell in love with The Thing Called Tadhana at naghihinayang ako kasi madami akong movies, na I think maganda, na di napanood. Ayheytit! Kaya we're planning to watch Cinema One Originals this year.

And that's it Pansit, mukha naman madali bucketlist namin diba?

Thank you!)

Ciao beaches!

Back To Back Birthday Celebrations: Sambo Kojin & Vikings.

Last Sunday, I had my birthday celebration. Though the actual celebration falls on Sunday, Bhebhe and I decided to celebrate it on Saturday too. Dapat nga month-long celebration eh buti naawat pa lols.

Few days before weekends, we passed by Sambo Kojin and Vikings to booked our reservations. It would be wise so kasi medyo mahirap mag-walk-in. Di naman po to Call center na pede mag-walk-in. Ganun. So ayown, Sambo Kojin on Saturday and Vikings on Sunday at SM Megamall, lunch time.

Sambo Kojin.

Here we invited one of our friends para masaya. For birthday celebrant if it's not your actual birthday but at least three days before and after your birthday, it's for free as long your accompanied (parang bata) by two full paying adults. Only one's required if it's on the actual day.

Para ma-maximize ang buffet at makadami ng kain, would really be best if more than two kayo. In between subuan, may usapang nangyayare. Don't hurry kasi di naman mauubusan ng foods at you can definitely sit and eat as much as time and your tummy permits. Awww.

Told ya, ang gaganda ng presentation!

Ending tuloy, kelangan ko yung maubos kasi may Php 200 charge if may left over. You grill as much as you want din and there's a lot of choices from beef to seafood.

For any plans of dining or celebrating special occasions at Sambo Kojin, you may visit their website for more info.

Vikings.

This time kami na lang ni Bhebhe. For birthdays at Viking, celebrant can eat for free on the actual day but must be accompanied with one full paying adult. If it's not on the actual day but still within his/her birth month, free ka pa ding dukha ka basta bring four patay gutom friends with you.

Hate you sushi! At natuto na din kami na mag-ikot-ikot muna to check on the foods available before putting it on our plates. And it was a wise decision cause we knew where good food was and what food to avoid. Avoid talaga? LOLs, oo si sushi iwasan niyo.

What I liked about Vikings was the breakfast section (cheese and sausages) and the carving section. Desserts were almost the same as what Sambo Kojin offers but it was actually the drink section that I liked the most.

Syempre about birthdays like "Auld Lang Syne" Lols Anu ba! Uhmm nga pala, nalulungkot kasi ako. I was waiting na makantahan kaso ang tagal. Almost three hours na kami ngumunguya kaso padaan daan lang sila. Eventually, I gave up, paid the bills, took the cake, and left miserable. I guess it's okay. I had so much fun and so much food. One of the best celebs I had in the longest time... and I was with my Bhebhe.

For more information about Vikings, you can check it here.

Happy 25th birthday to me. Thanks to all the greetings, presents, blessings, and love Papa God.

Ciao.

Chef Arnold's Pizza.

What better way to enjoy after work, syempre mag-overtime. LOLs! Sila na lang. I'd rather eat somewhere nice.

I heard about Chef Arnold's Pizza from Bhebhe. Masyadong masaya si Mahal about sa pizza na ipinakain sa kanila ng Boss nila so I asked if we can eat there sometime.

Napaka simple ng lugar like as simple as me na hindi mo iisipin na with their humble place and location, they offer good food at di ka lugi sa presyo. Ughh!

As you can see sa pictures above, nasa tabi ng daan ang Chef Arnold's.

Plainview. May pagka-subdivision feels sa lugar so very less ang dumaraang sasakyan. Medyo limited nga lang ang upuan nila but taking out the order is also an option. Try taking in sige!

Price is subject to change.

Crisp with right amount of salt.
There are complimentary bread sticks while you wait for the order! It was crisp in every bite and with the right amount of salt. Masarap din yung dip na kasama that we even asked for more.

Chicago Pizza!

We ordered two personal size pizza - Chicago and New York Pizza. Served hot at pareho masarap. Ang hirap mag-decide. The Chicago was sort of a sandwich style (stuffed) which I liked and the New York though with the usual toppings was a delight for the two of us. We had the most ordered pizza based sa mga nabasa ko sa mga blogs. I will surely try more of their offers on our next visit. Ganun!

New York Pizza.

Chicago pizza! Ayan mala-sandwich siya!
Nag-pahabol din kami ng isang serving ng Carbonara though to be honest, I'm not a fan. But the fun part was that the pasta was edible! Joke! Syempre nakakain yun! It was the plate it was served on - it was an edible crust-like bowl!

If magawi kayo sa Boni Ave./Brgy. Plainview, be sure to drop off at Chef Arnold's Pizza. Boni has more to offer than Bhebhe! LOLs. And besides the place offer a nice afternoon walk after pigging out and it's close to EDSA. Arte pa?

Ciao.
